Madden 10 360

Madden is back and its really making some noise this year. I have got to say this is the most authentic football experience ever. 2k5 was great but EA has really stepped up to the plate to deliver what the fans wanted all along. sure its a bit late but better late than never right? From presentation to improved gameplay and online franchise mode madden 10 is more then just a step in the right direction. everything has been tweaked to give us fans what we really want even the little things. uniforms or now fully customizable before games online and off so players can mix and match jerseys helmets pants and shoes to their liking. also ea has added hand towels to players as well as hand warmers when playing in colder weather. all these things are very nice additions to the game. menus are smoother and now loading screens hold more useful information such as players stats and team match ups. referees are also back and better than ever.they now confer with each other on players pull players of piles and just help give madden 10 that real feel.which leads me to probably one of the best features added to madden in a while PRo-tak. basically what it does is allows for large gang tackles to take place forming pile ups like you would see in a real game. also it allows for players to fight for every last inch because the animations can be branched off so its not like once you get hit your done you still have a chance to break the big one.it also allows for the fight for the fumble feature to take place which i will talk more about later. lastly online franchise is now available and ill talk about it as i get further into the review.

Graphics
madden 10 is simply breath taking the stadiums look amazing the players likeness is pretty awesome and animations are just so much better. the presentation is outstanding and players will get to see fans tale gating or buying things before a game and players warming up. also during the coin toss some players will have helmets half on or in their hands, while some might be wearing team caps.refs and chain gang are back and now referees even confer with each other on calls. there are tons of other cut scenes like coaches yelling at players after bad plays. medical staff checking on injured players. players on the sidelines celebrating, quarterbacks on the phone or working out on the bikes. they even added a halftime show but the voices are very robotic and bland. still its nice to have. after the game coaches and players will shake and camera crews will even surround stars of the game. the new veiw points are also a plus widescreen and zoom are really nice( i prefer zoom) and i hear hey are working on patching a broadcast view into the game. weather effects also look great with rain even collecting on the camera lens.another awesome feature is that Qb's actually throw like their real life counterparts.everything is just amazing except for a few glitches and clipping s issues which happen in pretty much every sports game. there are just so many little details that make the game look amazing i haven't even seen all the animations yet.

Sound
the sound is a little iffy but only because of the commentary.collinsworth still makes his idiotic and laughable comments but if you turn him of the stadiums themselves are very lively this time around and the fans are as loud as ever.they even scream team specific chants.again the commentary is bland but it seems a little better than last years but a lot is still rehashed back in. the soundtrack is pretty awesome feature music from tupac to nirvana

Gameplay
here it is the game play sure the graphics are good but is the gameplay too? the answer is yes. madden 10 plays at a slower more realistic pace(that can be adjusted). quaterbacks can now avoid the rush by using the right stick and
thanks to pro tak pockets are actual formed giving players time to find receivers.being on the defensive end feels great to as players will us the right stick to control lineman instead of mashing lb and rb. running the ball feels a lot better and not the "little juke" is back too. protak is another obvious improvement for no longer will players just wait around instead they will join in to make a tackle.this leads me back to the fight for the fumble feature which is basically a cut scene where players will all dive on top of the ball and well fight for it your job is to mash the buttons on the bottom of the screen faster than your opponent to recover. its a little gimmicky but it adds to the suspense and doesn't happen often enough to be an issue. receiver animations as well with some really nice catch animations and now players will drag their feet more often. weather is now more of a factor because players will slip causing you to adapt to things such as a fallen receiver or maybe even your quaterback might slip causing you to get the ball of as soon as possible. which leads me to another great feature that allows the quarterbacks to throw while getting sacked, and no the passes don't come out like bullets instead they will float like a lame duck into the hands of waiting defenders. lastly but most importantly EA has done a better job with rating this time around accounting for things like QB accuracy while in the pocket while running etc. which means not every one will throw like manning in the pocket and manning wont throw well on the run. say goodbye to ridiculous drop backs and 60 yard completions because power and strength has also been tuned so not every one has a rocket arm. this just adds to the realism and makes for a better football sim. also for those wildcat fans its in the game =P
now as for game modes madden moments is back and a little more polished and franchise mode has also been fixed. it now sports a new layout and provides players with more info about whats going on around the league. Online franchise mode is probably the best mode on the disc allowing you to for a group with up to 31 other friends and play out a whole season. the best part is that you can use ur computer or iphone to updater your rosters make trades or draft players on the fly.so you dont have to even be near your game to keep your franchise running.

madden 10 is an awesome value with all the new features and online franchise football fans will be playing madden all year long.

forgive if this review was a little unorganized or if i missed something i typed this up fast and there is just so many cool little details in the game its hard to touch on all of them just trust me when i say madden 10 is the real deal.
