Default Link's awakening

I was wondering if anyone else here has played Link's Awakening on the Gameboy colour? I picked up a GBC for Harvest Moon was disappointed, then later picked this up which made it worthwhile for me.
It's a Zelda game in a similar style to Link to the past. Basically you start on a beach with no memory ( surprise) and end up wandering around a weird island. It's the only Zelda I've finished properly without FAQs, and to my mind was just about the right length.
The GBC colour version DX had an added dungeon which made you super powerful.
I particularly enjoyed the weird Nintendo references in there, there's a chain chomp and a guy who looks like Mario.

Yeah. Link's Awakening is a pretty good GBC title. I much prefer the color version over the original. The added dungeon is okay, not that big of a deal to me, but the color in general makes the game more enjoyable in my opinion.

I also enjoyed the Nintendo references, especially the appearance of Wart from SMB 2 and Peach/Toadstool.
