Damaged ds

My son dropped his ds and now their are some small black lines on the upper screen. Does anyone know if it is repairable or can the screen be replaced?? May cost as much as a new unit not sure.

sounds like the screen needs to be replaced. if you report it to nintendo, you will have to add some info such as the code on the bottom of the DS, if you don't have that code you will have to pay $50+ extra. The screen is replacible but if the total cost of repairs plus shipping is over $100 i recomend buying another DS. However, if you have a warranty that should be no problem.

two months ago the hinge on my DS broke and nintendo said that they woud replace it for about $75-$100, luckely i still had my papers from gamestop with my warranty and got another DS.
